About failure, thinking that bad things will happen, trouble falling asleep, and Digestive woes. Also mentioned: “It is possible that the psychiatrist can give me a prescription for Adderall, that medicine helps me a lot.” The social worker carried out an assessment of the use of the medication, and Susan limited herself to saying: “I am a medical student, I know what causes it, and believe me that everything is under control.”
Susan denied her medical condition. She reported: “My husband and family are very supportive”. The client enjoys listening to music, watching TV, and walking on the beach. Susan mentioned: “I love my family, and I know that when I finish my degree, my family will be fine, it’s just a little sacrifice, and the medication helps me to stay focused”.
During the interview, her husband mentioned: “My wife has been on Adderall for about five months”, and “She seemed in control, now I think she is not. “I worry about my wife when she is running out of Adderall; she becomes irritable and sometimes verbally aggressive,” “I don’t know about the medication, but I think is out of control.” Susan mentioned: “You are exaggerating, “My behavior is fully under control,” “Everything is fine”.” “I finish my work on time, and my grades are excellent; there is nothing to worry about.” Susan’s husband mentioned being concerned and was willing to help her and be part of the treatment.
