Rhetorical Situation

For this activity, create a brief “exigency” or rhetorical situation to which you must respond. It is okay to use your imagination here. Perhaps you have tested positive for COVID and have to tell a few different parties that you cannot attend some event where they expect your presence. Maybe you are going out of town and want essential people to know about it. Alternatively, perhaps you have got a significant life change in the works (a move, new job, breakup, or religious conversion), and you must explain what it will entail. Here is the point: the situation has to create a need for you to respond to communicate with other people. Moreover, that is what you will do– respond to this particular situation in writing to three audiences.
